The Appleton Area School District requires enrollment for new students (4K - grade 12) and annual registration for existing students (KG - grade 12).

Enrollment and annual registration for the upcoming school year begins in early July.

What do I need for Enrollment/Registration?

The parent/guardian should be prepared to complete an online application containing demographic information, emergency contact phone numbers, name and phone number of your child’s doctor, medical information, and language information.

After your child’s online application has been submitted, you may be asked to provide a birth certificate and immunization records to your student’s school.

Registration Events

Meet and Greet Events

Middle and high school Meet and Greet events are different at each school. Some schools hold their event in late August, and others in early September. Parents and guardians are encouraged to tour the school, follow along with their student’s schedule and meet staff, teachers, and administrators.

Onsite Registration Events

Onsite Registration Events give families an opportunity to register their students using district labs/computers with IT/translator support. Returning/existing AASD parents/guardians will be able to complete many of the annual registration items online, prior to their designated school registration event.

Families can attend onsite registration events at their school(s) if they need assistance with the online registration process or to complete these tasks:

  • Annual online registration
  • Obtaining photo ID
  • Textbook distribution


What is the difference between online (OLR) registration and onsite (in-person registration)?

Online Registration allows you to update parent and student contact/demographics information, add/update student health information, complete an application for free and reduced meals or waived school fees (available the end of July) and pay fees (via the Parent Portal , available after July 25th).

Onsite (in-person) registration allows you to pay fees, buy a yearbook and/or activity pass (optional), have the student photo taken (available for purchase- optional) and receive the student ID card, get the students schedule, books and locker information.

What if I cannot make it during the “assigned” date and time for registration?

These times are just a suggestion. Please feel free to attend whichever registration date works best for you and your student.
