Counselors

The school counselor's role is to be a partner in maximizing student achievement through counseling support, collaboration of staff, parents/guardians, and the local community, and working with the student in the areas of academic, personal/social, and career development.

Using a developmental counseling approach, the program emphasizes a proactive, facilitative, and collaborative framework to assess how students are impacted by the school counseling program. School counselors use and collect data to assess student achievement, progress, and the effectiveness of programs and services.

Counselors work with students in the classroom, in small groups, and individually, to help ensure maximum learning and growth.
