Background: It's a cautionary tale about unintentionally becoming the bully. The musical focuses on Cady Heron, a teenage girl who transfers to a public high school after being homeschooled her whole life in Africa. At school, she befriends outsiders Janis Sarkisian and Damian Hubbard who persuades her to infiltrate the "Plastics", a clique consisting of wealthy but insecure Gretchen Wieners, sweet but dimwitted Karen Smith, and "queen bee" Regina George. But when playing with fire, you have to be careful not to be burned.

What they’re saying: "I love being in Mean Girls because it deals with new beginnings, bullying, and trying to fit in while trying to find your place in the world and it is an important message for all." - KK Blau playing Regina George

Take-home message:  'Mean Girls is such an important show.  While much of the action is exaggerated, it does depict the reality of high school today. There are constant struggles with bullying, fitting in, and finding your way.
